When it comes to luxury vehicles, the BMW M4 Convertible is one of the most anticipated by many gearheads. Fortunately, there are already leaked images for the prototype of this car. And by all means, we are not disappointed.
One of the notable features of the M4 is the conventional front-end styling akin to most coupe designs. Despite having a similar front-end, this convertible is expected to vary from its coupe counterpart. The leaked photos–which have a patent application to the European Union Intellectual Property Office–can prove this.
An upward sweeping beltline is seen cladding the M4 to its trunk, which shares a similar design to the 4 Series Convertible. Speaking of the trunk, the latter can support the folded fabric soft top. Since BMW is planning to reduce the size and weight of its new model, there should be changes on the retractable hardtop. Also, a brake light is present on its rear spoiler. Other components, such as the diffuser and quad-pipe exhaust system, will also be rigged to the upcoming BMW M4 Convertible.
It will also run with a twin-turbo 3.0-liter engine that is capable of generating 473 horsepower and 406 lb-ft of torque. It is also rumored that the M4 will let you choose between an eight-speed automatic transmission and six-speed manual transmission.
Of course, some of you have already heard that the BMW M4 will come with a Competition model. This one will boast 503 horsepower and 479 lb-ft torque. Additionally, it will also be available with an eight-speed route power that you can integrate into an optional all-wheel-drive-system package. Other details for the Competition model will be unveiled in the official market release of the 2021 M4 Convertible.
How much would this vehicle cost you? Accordingly, a 2021 M4 Competition Convertible could have an $85,000 price tag. It is a deserving segment rival to the 2021 model year of Chevrolet C8 Corvette.
